Finals week is upon us and everywhere you look stress is evident in the eyes of fellow students, not to mention the tension you’re starting to feel in your neck. If stress is overtaking your life, here are five ways to find some relief. If you feel left out because stress only seems to affect your peers, here are five ways to stress out more:
10 Tips to De-Stress
1. Enjoy the warm weather, but make sure to avoid the bees. Try studying for finals out on a blanket in the grass, or simply take a break and soak up the sun.
2. Watch a Jon and Kate Plus 8 marathon to appreciate your own life. The stress of one week of finals will seem less overwhelming compared to taking care of eight screaming children on a daily basis.
3. Spend your remaining Purple Plus money on smoothies from the B&B Café. ( Try the Blue Banana and Mango Madness!)
4. Get a decent amount of sleep each night and avoid the stereotypical “college finals all-nighters”.
5. Eat chocolate or have your favorite drink if you’re over 21.
6. Avoid energy drinks.
7. Don’t make any huge life changes in this week, such as breaking up with a significant other.
8. Try not to save studying for an hour before a test.
9. Play beach volleyball in the quad. Taking a break from studying to stick your feet in the sand will definitely help to calm the nerves. Not to mention hitting a ball as hard as you can may release stress.
10. Take some time to spend with the friends, they are all needing a break just as much.
Happy Studying!
